Down To The Bone remastered
It’s hard to believe Down To The Bone is 15 years old already! Where did the time go??
To mark the occasion, I’ve remastered the film from its original project files! It’s now available on Vimeo in brand new 16:9 wide-screen reformatting, with updated color grading and additional animation detailing!
For context, Down To The Bone was my student thesis film at Pratt Institute, animated traditionally with paper, pencils, ink and markers. It premiered at SXSW before screening in over 30 festivals, winning several awards and becoming a finalist for a Student Academy Award nomination.
The film helped me break into NYC's animation scene and launch my career as both an indie filmmaker and commercial animator.
After its festival run, Down To The Bone was distributed on several short film compilations such as "The Best of Animation Block Party" and "Twillerama Vol.1" and even aired on PBS's "Reel 13 Presents", before finding its home online.
